Strategic Planning: Shaping Success Through Research and Refinement

Strategic Planning at Shore Capital is an ongoing process of learning, adapting, and refining a company’s path to success in a 5-year hold period. It’s a process that includes industry research, stakeholder surveys and interviews, and months of planning for each session to ensure the optimal outcome.

A company’s strategic plan is going to answer five key questions:

Who

are we going to serve?

What

are we going to do for them that creates maximum value?

Where

are we serving them in that value chain?

Why

we are the players to do this?

How

are we going to win?

Our Process

Our 7 Step Process:

01

Discovery:

The Shore Strategy Team reviews prior Board materials, industry decks, management reports (including Predictive Index reports), competitive landscape, goals, mission, vision, core values, etc. to get up to speed on the business. Also interviews CEO & key stakeholders and evaluates the latest industry research.

02

Preview:

Strategic planning leader and CEO share a preliminary outline for the strategy session with the management team and Shore.

03

Aggregation:

The Shore Strategy Team combines relevant materials from the Discovery phase into one Master deck to be shared during the session.

04

Strategic Assessment:

Strategic Planning session discussions with key leaders of the platform, working through the strategy process agenda items.

05

Summarize:

Notes and photos taken from the onsite strategy session are summarized for the management team by the Shore Strategy Team.

06

Regroup:

The management team presents their proposal and responses based on the feedback and takeaways from the onsite discussions and Summary deck – working with the Shore Strategy Team to get near final plan done.

Synthesize:

The management proposal is refined and then vetted with Board and Shore Capital Partners.
